Patron Program

Opera Queensland's Patron Program has been designed to offer a way for individuals who love opera to contribute to the development of Australia's young opera singers and artists. Patron donations enable us to continue our important work of nurturing young, developing talent who will continue to delight audiences in the future. The careers of over 100 young singers have benefited from this program - many of whom are recognised as the finest opera singers Australia has produced.

Donations are tax-deductible and we are pleased to announce that all gifts received before June 30, 2010 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The State Government, for the fourth year in a row – up to $100,000 – so your Patron gift will be doubled!

Be recognised
In recognition of your generosity and to give you a chance to meet our Young Artists and mix with other opera lovers, Patrons receive:

  • Your name on our website, in the Opera Queensland Annual Report and in all theatre programs of the main Brisbane Season
  • Exclusive invitations to events where Patrons can meet and enjoy the development of our Young and Developing Artists
  • Invitations to orchestral dress rehearsals, Corporate Club for interval drinks and our annual Season Launch function
  • Our quarterly Patron newsletter, Camerata
  • Preferential seating and personal assistance from Opera Queensland staff

Social Networking
Many of our Patrons enjoy social get-togethers with their professional peers
For example, our Legal and Medical Chapters enjoy private dinners and cocktail events from time to time, where members can network with like-minded colleagues who share a love of opera.
